Have you thought about 16 instead of 16.5 on the back?

sorry, I'm an idiot. There are three spaces e.g. 205/55/16. What goes where for the 7.50-16?

Im not sure where you live, but check craiglist there are usually pretty good deals on there. If not discount tire has good prices for new stuff.

You're not goign to find new in those sizes unless you go to some Super Swampers or something (yuk for highway!). The last 16.5 I can find in a good road tire is 9.5 x 16.5 by both Firestone and Cooper. My truck needs tires and I'm deciding now whether I'm going to get a set of used 16" steel wheels and go 16" or just get the set of special order 9.5 x 16.5 tires, this time it will break out even financially but I'm sure by the next time I need tires I'll have to go 16.

Edit: I just re-read it and saw that you've got 16" wheels up front. If they're original they're probably split rims (the wheel rim on the outside comes off). You'd be hard pressed to find a shop that will touch them and are best off replacing the wheels with one piece wheels.

I went from 16.5 to 16 , lot more to choose from and you save on the $$$$$. I like to run the same size front and rear. My 68 is a daily driver, and the tires last a lottttttt longer when you can rotate them. To each their own

Best case scenario, I'd like to get new wheels (rims) for it. What is the bolt pattern?

Your truck, what is it? F-250, it should have 8 lug. (8 X 6.5) Tire/wheel stores will know what will fit.Online, just enter your model of truck.

May have something for you, although you definitely need to figure out what is up with the wheels and make sure someone has not put 16.5's on 16" wheels or vice versa...

the last 3 sets of tires I have run on the Filthy Beast were PepBoys 2 sets of there all-terrain and the last set mud-terrain,I do not run on the highway as much now.
I always get the road hazard and at least here they are good at honoring it.I cannot say anything bad about them :2cents:
