What's your bumps name?

Post by jp2005 »

So I'm trying to think of a meanful name for my truck. I've had my truck awhile and thought I would finally name it. What's your bumps name and how did you think of it? Ideas?

Because I came of "Age" in the sixties and the Movie Forrest Gump resonated so much for me... I named my truck Forrest Bump.

I originally called her "Christine" from the movie/book by Stephen King as she was to be resurrected just like the Plymouth Fury in the movie. That name just never stuck.

Can't take all the credit for the naming as my youngest Daughter was there helping me come up with a name as she's the one that names her Brother's, Sister's & Mom's vehicles... course she scrawled Forrest Bump into the oxidized paint on both doors with her finger, God I LOVE that Baby Girl of mine.

The Texas Time Machine! I call her that because everytime I get behind the wheel I feel like I travel back to 1971. Not to mention that it really does move me forward in time :)

My truck is called the beast, because it dwarfs out any other vehicle around her when I fire her up. After I did the body swap, people at work starting calling the old girl skittles because of the mint green, lime green two tone body I put on her. I think the truck will pick out its name for you when it comes along!

Ol' Betsy. The Ol' Girl. The Beast. Depends on who I'm talking to. But when it's just me and her, in the quiet of the morning as the sun's peaking over the mountain, I touch her lovingly and just call her "Girl".

Fred. Fred Ford. Or Freddy or Frederick.
I named it that after the first time I saw it, weeks before I even bought it. The name has stuck- my mom, her friends, and my friends all call him Fred.
