Got a "new" Truck.

Post by suavematt »

 Hey all, been a while! I recently picked up another truck! 1987 F250 XL. It's just a single-cab, long-bed with the 300 I-6/4-spd manual with the granny-low 1st.

Original asking price was $1000... got it down to $600... & then saw it, & said I'd give $400 for it or leave (the driver's side door is totally trashed...no glass, & it's held shut with a piece of dog-chain  ) & he took the $400 & put my name on the title

That's a good deal, you've got a right to brag about that.

:yt:, You did pretty good for $400. You've got the most bullet-proof drive-line available in these trucks, and all it needs is a driver's side door which you could probably pick up at the local pick and pull for around $100 or less. I'd say you made out pretty well .

Thanks guys.

 Ya, Now all I need is a Crew-Cab Bump to put the Drive-line under

I'm going to DD it for a while, it's one heck of a work-truck/hauler :fr: But the 80's never were my favorite body-style :2cents:
Still in search of the perfect 4-door "family truck" Bump or Dent... so when if find one, I may put the engine/trans from this truck into it, or into my 73' Ford RV if said future Bump/Dent has a 300 I6 already... or I may just sell this truck if the right cash offer is made ... Everything I own is "for sale" for the right price
