Freudian slip?
My 5-year-old Brianna is just learning how to read and write, and she's been playing with her Doodleboard, writing new words...or trying to sound them out and write them as she thinks they sound. This evening, she showed me this, telling me she wrote "Daddy is funny". But it sure doesn't look that way to me!
(And I'll just say that her mom would probably agree with Brianna.)

I have a daughter the same age. The stuff she comes up with just blows my mind. It's true what they say. Kids these days are so far ahead of their parents. She talks about stuff I didnt understand untill I was in jr. high. . . . & SHE'S 5 !!

kids really do say the darnedest things.
we were at the beach and my then 5 y.o. got hit pretty good by a smallish wave. he came up all choking and gagging. as soon as he could speak he said "dad, i just got water punched!". i never laughed so hard.
