Depressed
I am depressed. My dad need the 82 f150 for the winter and the 68 has not got the title yet. So i have no vehcile so my stepdad let me used a 1986 ford ranger ex cab 4x4 2.9 5 speed. I love the mileage it gets 19 to 21 mpg i used to get 11 to 13 mpg out of the 82. I use to get mad to cheer up i would go driving in the 82 and i be fine after that. i got mad so i hop in the ranger and took off that no power made me even madder. I hate the ranger and miss my f150.

Re: Depressed
Sounds like thanks to your uncle you have a vehicle to use. Also sounds like your dad needs the 82. Be patient. I wish I still had my dad around, but time goes by faster than you think it will.

I know whatcha' mean. It sucks to not be drivin' what y'all want to be drivin'.
But here's another thought... Be THANKFUL y'all got Something, Hell, ANYTHING to Drive! May NOT be what y'all want but at least it's a Ford and it sure beats walkin'.
Hope I'm not commin' off to self righteous. Guess it's my standard lecture to all of my 4 kids when they were bitchin' about what they had to drive.
I can tell y'all gotta' good heart and you're a Bump owner to boot. Just look at what y'all have to look forward too... Drivin' Your Bump!

Re: Depressed
You're too young to be depressed, wait until you have a mortgage, couple car payments and a jerk for a boss in a crappy economy...
Heck, my dad sold my first car for $100 when I went in the Navy and my '56 Williams pinball machine for $60. I'd still depressed about that pinball machine, all wood and cost a nickle to play.

Re: Depressed
i know exactly what you mean on 1/9/11 it will be 13 years since i lost my dad. one of the best memories i have was when my dad threw me the keys to the Rangersuarus and said you are driving i was 15 yrs old never driven a manual transmission vehicle had no power steering. when i would start to get nervous about what i was doing he would pop me on the arm and say calm down your doing fineMancar1 wrote:I wish I still had my dad around, but time goes by faster than you think it will.

Re: Depressed
In this world, there is all kind of conditions that people are in. If you want to protect yourself, start figuring out what kind of vehicle you will need for yourself, that will be reliable and cool to your liking. Then set your sights on figuring out how youre gonna be able to get it. God knows it doesnt have to be expensive.
Get your own truck and build it and take care of it how you want to. Peace.

Re: Depressed
I used to go into deep depressions, suicidal type depressions. Thankfully I made it through to the other side and now I am stable and don't need meds.
Most of the guys have said what I was thinking. "It sure beats walking." "Thank your step-dad for the use of the truck."
But let me ask you an important question. Are you depressed? or just sad?
When I was depressed, I didn't know why I was depressed. You seem to know why. You didn't say it in these words, but I heard you say, "I didn't get what I wanted."
