Post by 1972hiboy »

So I was able to locate a set of 9.00R16 co-op grip spur tires from Colorado and I wanted to get them on my hiboy to see how they would look. some background information is here.

here is a few more pics....ill have to use a real camera to get good ones I just shot these before work with my phone. While the wheels were off a decided to paint them a offwhite and paint the hubs black to give it a cut clean look. I was kinda trying to go for the vintage look with the truck. What do you guys think??? :?

Good morning Rich,

Have you driven it much yet? How do they compare to your old tires?

Good morning to you Sir!
Its kinda differant all the way around, the truck is taller for one. I can feel the tires flex going over a bump . My old tires are acually new goodyear duratracs that are loadrange E so they were stiff. I acually took a drive up Empire Grade last night to try them out. Really I couldnt tell much differance. they seem to handle great. Thanks for the feedback!

Looks great! I have to say, I am really starting to dig the vintage steelie skinny bias truck tire look. It really makes me think that when I do buy tires I may go the steelie route. It just looks "right" for our trucks. Very nice!
