If it runs and drives and looks 1/2 way decent it would be a great buy. If it is ratty, but has a lot of parts you could use, you could part out the rest. Up to you.

68 wouldnt have a 352 in it stock. it would be a 360 stock. he probabyl saw the stamping on the frotn of the engine. if that is how he identified it. then he doesnt know alot about the truck.

$900's alright if it isn't a total ratbag and is drivable, but you can't really judge a vehicle from some pics and the owners assurance that it "runs great" cuz more often than not it doesn't run great or even all that good and the raunchy damaged stuff never gets a photo op
-check it out in person and if you're gonna use it for parts inventory the good stuff it has that you want and what you'd be willing to pay for those parts, add what you know you could spin for some $$ ,or if you think its great and want to fix it up -subtract what it will really cost to do that , and you'll know whether or not its a good deal
- still got my first first car 20+yrs later : 69 f100 sorta kinda pretending its a Mercury M100 w/a 70 f350 sport custom cab (factory buckets) 67 grille with 69 ranger cooneyes 68 merc box and hood, some supercool fiberglass fenders i scored way back when, 76 f150 disc brake frontend..currently running a 90 5.0HO 4bbl/c4 auto & 3.50 posi...originally a 360/c6 f100 Ranger with dealer added towpack (incl. kelsey hays trailer brake),boxside toolbox, behind the seat stowage & belly tank...only original parts left on 'er are the frame, rear end, rear springs, and rear bumper...
