I’m new to this site and after reading posts from the forums I felt comfortable enough to ask if the truck I was looking at was worth it. I received a lot of good feedback and based my decision to buy it on the responses that I received. I was also impressed at how everyone jumps in and helps out when a question comes up. I noticed that you respect each other’s opinion and do not put a person down for asking a question. Other forums will talk down to you thinking that you should not have asked a dumb question. My thinking is there are no dumb question only the one you did not ask.
I hope to be welcomed at this site and will defiantly ask for help and try to help others if and when I can

Prior to finding this site a little over a year ago when I bought my 72 F250, the only site I had regularly visited which was similar was the firstgenfirebird.org forums where I go for my Firebird information. I thought that was a one of a kind group of people with how they respond and treat each other. Luckily, I found this site and now have one for each of my vehicles. There are other sites out there for both vehicles types, but it seems that every other site is exactly how sargentrs described it which leaves me with this site being the ONLY site I come to for my bumpside info, just as firstgenfirebird is the only site I go to for my firebird info.

I am blessed that I have found two online communities that mirror each other with the quality of people and have a wealth of information about the topics I need info on. So I also give thanks to the owner and mods who make this site possible!

I know what you mean, this is one of the few sites folks want to help you out. One of the few things you will ever see me say other than Welcome from North Carolina on here is there are no dumb questions.........just the one you didn't ask that cost you time and money. I have some knowledge about a few things on our trucks, but 9 times out of 10 by the time I read the question and go to post 1 or 2 folks have beat me to it. Thats why I have always said

Yes, very well said sarge  Every word of it. (And I very seldom read an entire "chick post) :lol:j/k Good people here, as someone else said there are no dumb questions on here. You don't see the, " USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION",as you do on other forums. There are lots of guys on here (including myself) who have been tinkering on their old Fords for 30+ years, who enjoy helping out the younger guys/gals with their projects and ask absolutely nothing in return. That's kinda rare these days :(

You have a great way of saying what is on your mind. I enjoyed reading it. Thank you for posting. This is a great site, everyone even puts up with my old man droning on at times.

I have to agree with all of the above,Fordification was the first forum I joined and is THE forum I measure all others by and that makes it tough on the ones I have visited since.
The Fordification community reminds me of the good shops that I have worked in over the years, when you get in over your head on your project or life there are people who care.
The depth of experience here is vast it gives a person the confidence to tackle problems/projects that might otherwise be insurmountable,it is tough to work in isolation the support
is priceless. Thanks to Keith and Everyone else :fr:
