Sounds like it will be a good find. Pick some black berrys. They in season there? They are only a couple weeks from it here.

well- that was a waste of time.
Total P.O.S. - rusty as all get out -it looked semi-alright till i checked it out- rotted inner fenders and rad support,,no side windows.moss growing on the mouse chewed seat (wasp nest in under dash,) ,holes in the floor, driprail (and roof) rusted thru ,door locks seized, dented hood, soft cab mounts, cab corners rotted right off... rusted cowl...rear fenders okay-ish ,box floor rusted thru, tailgate missing...the frame might have been usable but....i just left...even as a partes truck not worth bothering with even if he paid me to haul it outta there..

Box floor rusted through? On a flareside?
Shortbox frames are pretty scarce up here...

yup, and all along the bottom of the sides of the bed -you'd be rusted thru to with the amount of soaking wet composted god-knows-what that was in the box piled on you for the last 15yrs-
yeah, shortbox frames are rarer than rocking horse poop but i'd rather spend my time hacking my existing frame shorter (if i ever decide i want a shortbox)than mess with a pile of trash like that nightmare....

when i entered the guys yard the truck looked semi-almost worth bothering with, but that changed in a real hurry when i started actualy looking it over....
the sad thing is,i remember that truck from probably not long before it popped the 6 that was in it,16yrs ago it was a pretty sweet ride
...for a short moment i almost felt pity on the sad old heap, but came back to reality when i realized how much work it would be to even attempt to ressurect the thing- and how nothing (and i mean nothing) on the truck was good enough to warrrant buying it as a parts truck...which i could hardly believe... and which kinda ticked me off, seeming as the truck was supposedly in "pretty good shape"
