Thumbs up? or ehhh for BWD?

Post by Andy Man »

Advance Auto offers some value priced replacement parts, such as points, dist. caps, hoses, etc. under the "BWD" brand. If anybody has an opinion on the fit and dependability of this brand, I sure would appreciate hearing it...

I have heard nothing bad about the brand. Not sure where they are made.

I just bought their parts from Kragen/O'Reilly's. The guy behind the counter called them Bog-Warner parts. Apparently BWD = Borg-Warner Division.

If that's the case, they probably have good stuff.

I bought a BWD cap and rotor from O'Reillys. It was all brass contacts and better than the junk I took off.

Thanks to all who responded. Seems that BWD is ok. Glad to hear that.
