brother in law in hospital

he went to see the doctor yesterday and they did some tests. today he is sick and throwing up. his blood sugar was over 500. wow. he is also dehydrated. and is now in the hospital. and may be there for a few days. i am leaving here in a littl ebit to go up to the city to sit there for awhile with him my wife and mother in law and sister in law. i will be back home sometime tonight.

im surfin from the hospital waiting room. i guess they are waiting on doctor orders to maybe give him a insulin drip. so i just sit here. he is coming and going out of a coma / sleep mode.

it looks like i have to spend the night here. i dont like that at all. they now have him on a insulin drip. of some sort. he is sleeping still i dont know if he has woken up yet or not. but his head was turned the other way when i went to the room again.

i didnt have to stay up all night at the hospital. he is now sleeping. his blood sugar is down to 400. which is too high still. he has been awake and talking. but he is all tired out. he is getting sodium and dextrose mix. as well as a insulin drip too. they are also giving him a anti beer medicine. is best i can call it. its so he doesnt have a seziure due to his nightly beer that he isnt getting. thats the way it was told to me. i think all is going to be fine. they just need to get his blood sugar levels down and him rehydrated. thanks fo rall your support. my mother in law is really wound up my wife said. i couldnt sit still in the hospital. im glad my wife wanted to come home for the night. there was no way i was goign to be able to sleep in the hospital.

Best of luck to your brother in law Craig..thoughts and prayers are with you. Sugar and alcohol don't mix...screws alot of things up(having to come to terms with that myself)in the body. Hope everything turns out for best
