Vicki says be happy

Post by Mancar1 »

Before I get into what is going on with my Sweety, Vicki, I want you all to know that we both really appreciate the support we have been given here.
Vicki and I have talked about what we are going to do in this situation now for the last few years. I have been getting the home ready for her, and she is comming home this afternoon. We don't have long left together, and we are both at peace with it. She spent the past 8 days in the hospital, and it turns out nothing more can be done. Myself and my sister will be her caregivers. Our Daughters will be here to help whenever they can. Our youngest, (34), is here now. They all live so darn far away. They married Damn Sailors.
Vicki asks that everyone to please feel happiness for her. As we have had 36 wonderful years together, and she has had a good life.
I have to sign off now, getting blurry sorry. Thanks everyone.
May your sails stay full, and your knots not slip. Unless a slip knot.

Your words put my heart in my throat, John.

It's very stoic of Vicki to say: "Be Happy" and I will do the best I can for her, but that's not easy...

Praying is what I'll do for both of you... God bless both of you and your family...

John, I would suggest you read the poem" foot steps in the sand" it has been a comfort to me in the past. My prayers go out to Miss Vikie and you and your family, and I will continue to do so.

That is one very classy lady. I hope when my time comes I can face it with such dignity and grace. My heartfelt prayers for you, John, and Miss Vicki that the remaining time you have left be blessed with peace, happiness, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit. May God be with you both and Jesus guide her home.
