I'm a big boy now!

Post by 1971ford »

Just turned 18...

My day will not be spent partying, it will be spent wrapping up my Cummins conversion in the highboy and if things go well I should have just enough time to take it for a spin at the end of the day    Watch how many miles I can rack up on it in one night

I still remember a young 14 year old that was very proud to take ownership of a bump.
It seems like yesterday LOL!
Congratulations, you've learned a lot over the years Ryan-pass it along.

Good morning Ryan, happy birthday!!!

I remember when I was 20 years old, I spent a Saturday hanging out in my work building focusing on a creative project that I'd come up with. I got to standing around in a buddy's office and somehow the topic of parties came up. I said, "I don't like parties," and he replied, "Everybody likes parties. People just like different kinds of parties." Same goes for you with your truck project. :)

Why is it that the trucks are always the best running vehicles in the family?

Thanks guys!
It really doesn't seem that long ago when I was 14 trying to learn how many cylinders my v8 had :D

I indeed spent my whole day working on the Cummins swap, no driving at the end of the day due to more snags, but I'm still real happy with where it's at.

A throttle linkage, tiny bit of wiring and some fuel priming and I can drive it :D :D :D
Should be able to drive it to the shop Tuesday and then It's time to turn it over to a buddy who I'll have finish getting it road-worthy (fab the exhaust, and fix yoke slop/leak). Then I get to start on the fun stuff!!!!

Congrats, good job on surviving the day.

Cummins swaps are all in the details... Throttle linkage is one of the things slowing me down too.
