lowering my f250

Post by ezernut9mm »

this isn't a technical question so i didn't put it in the suspension section, but it is more of a opinion type question.
so, i have a 67 f250 that i am trying (sorta) to sell. not much interest locally or on the forums. i can't help but to jack with the stuff i own so i was wondering: what do you guys think about me lowering my 250? i am thinking maybe i can get some interest for "cool factor" if i lowered it. not much cash involved. i can cut the springs in front for free and not affect the ride too much. i have done this before. and for the rear i can flip the axle for the price of spring perches and maybe new u bolts if the old one's won't give up the nuts easy.
what are your all opinions?
i have almost 2k in the truck and i can't sell it without losing money so i was thinking about giving it some attitude and see what happens. if nothing else i will get to play around with the truck some without killing the wallet. so tell me. am i retarded? i can take it. lol

I suppose it may attract the right person, but the problem is you have to find that person. For me, if I'm looking for an F250 it's because of it's hauling capability and a lowered one wouldn't do me much good. If I want to rod something it's gonna be a lighter half ton truck.

That being said, it seems like it's socially acceptable to lower anything and call it a rat rod nowadays, so you may very well have luck going that direction.

In the end, I say do what you want! It's your truck, so if you can't sell it you may as well have some fun with it!
