Just an FYI

Post by Venado82 »

I posted this in the engine section but thought I'd copy it here for everyone.
I'm about to swap in a 70 Mustang gas tank (20 gal) in my '69 Flareside. I just wanted to let everyone know, in case someone else hasn't, that Kentucky Mustang, www.kentuckymustang.com, has the tank with the sending unit, hose, locking ring and clamps for $139 shipped to the door; I found it on EBay. I didn't do a lot of searching but thought that it wasn't too bad on price. I got it today and it was in great shape, not dents from shipping. I'm excited to get started, so I can get my new wood bed in the truck.

I plan on posting pics as I go along. Bobby, I'm gonna follow your install with a few minor changes. I've got to re-route the wires for the taillights and I'm going to weld threaded studs to the frame rail so I can run the nuts for the frame up from the bottom.
