Nice truck. I need to order some new tires for the new wheels I ordered and was wondering what size are on this truck? I was thinking 275 60R/15 for rear and 245's for front.

Wow! Nice truck! I do like the bed! The lip around the rear wheel opening even mimicks the front wheel opening nicely!

Hmmmm...... if one wanted to spend a little time doing body mods, I bet they could pretty easily cut just the bump profile out of a junk bump bed and graft it into those stepside fenders! Would be a one-off "bump stepside bed"! Man, I think about bumps too much!

Dave you were close 275 rear/ 235 front... I was gonna go 245 all around but thought staggered look would be better.

With manual steering it can be a bear to park otherwise tracks well on the road, virtually hands free on smooth highway. Although bumpy roads require constant attention at the steering wheel. Good shocks and updated bushings really improved overall ride.

Yeah that's what I thought too, it's unique even with the rust and bad paint. I do get a Lil grief from the blue oval and bowtie purest... Mostly older guys that know exactly what they see. My only issue is I couldn't find a plain tailgate (no way a chevy one was gonna be used) so I run a gate net.

Yeah fenders/bed are late 50's Chevy...

84-9401 is the part number for the 55-59 PLAIN chevy stepside tailgate for about $160 from Dixie Truck Works, trunnions are about $25 for a pair and chains are $24 for OE and about $45 for polished SS <$10 for chain covers...

Nice truck... have seen this before with a neighbor's bump when I was growin' up. I really like it.

Did you put a 'big' dash in that truck too?

spoil me after 6 years without one... Also no big dash, I have bare metal dash...
