You know that all us Bump owners are killing the planet. (riiiight)kf7mjf wrote:Hahhaha! Olympia is full of Prius owners, hell the city and state government buys the things. And I swear, half the people who drive them are smug fart sniffers who behave like they just stepped out of a South Park episode about hybrids.
I <3 my bump
LOL. I don't want to spend my money on one. I'd just like to shoot up the ones other people own!Bumpside Collector wrote:Great video! I'd like to own a Prius for the exact same reason.

The Chevy Volt is a turd too. However, unlike the Prius, Toyota didn't receive any government handout money (at tax payer expense) to build the Prius. Chevrolet took $3 billion tax dollars from the working citizens (without our consent) to get into the car-making business. (the government is currently 26% owner of General Motors --guess they should change the name to 'Government Motors' instead). Each Chevy Volt costs Chevrolet over $81,000.00 dollars each to produce. They can't hardly sell it for $40,000.00 dollars (basically a 50% loss on each unit made), and to top it off they have to offer a $7,500.00 dollar rebate (another subsidy provided at the tax payer's expense) to bribe people into buying them. I've read recently that that $7,500.00 subsidy will be going up to $10,000.00 dollars.69timemachine wrote:Great video! I LOVE the UK Top Gear! And I HATE the Prius!
Here is another Top Gear clip that tells you everything you ever needed to know about the Prius!

It's interesting how the Prius is supposed to be helping the planet, but the amount of fuel and energy spent to build ONE Prius could have probably built ten regular small cars. What about the damage to the earth down the road when those batteries are to be disposed of? What happens then?
I personally don't find the Prius' mileage to be impressive. Here's a tidbit to think about; my parents had a '93 Ford Festiva (manufactured by KIA for Ford Motor Company) that my dad bought new for a work car. It used a 1.3 liter four cylinder with multi-point injection and a 5-speed manual. They decided to get out of town for a couple weeks and hit the road on a good old road trip from south Texas to Niagra Falls and back. During that trip, there were tanks of fuel that they achieved 55 MPG on! To me, that is amazing, considering that it WAS 1993 TECHNOLOGY and was an $8,000 MSRP car!
