What a great drive

Post by Chickenhawk368 »

And it was just the commute! I drove the pickup to day because it had gas in it and the bike didn't, just couldn't be bothered to go fill at O'dark:thirty this morning. After 11hrs of work I was dreading the slog home in bumper to bumper traffic, but it was actually quite pleasant. The sun was shining, window down, arm out idling along, relaxing and just enjoying a beautiful fall afternoon. Sure it took me a half hour longer at least and 5x as much gas, for today it just didn't matter. 8)

This is why many people own & keep bumps alive. It is all about what a great feeling it is driving an old truck. I can't believe I said that about a bump. I grew up driving these things & never really viewed bumps as old. Thinking the other day my truck is as old as the street rods were when I was young.I look forward to driving mine even with $4.00/gal gas & a 460 under the hood.
