I would replace the dimmer switch first.
There is a circuit breaker in the headlight switch, but I would think if that was going bad, you headlights would blink on low beams, too.

Yeah it is like I can switch the high beams on and they would work for a minute and then go out dash lights too. thats a bad feeling when your doing 65 in the middle of nowhere surrounded by trees.

I agree with flyboy, I would do the dimmer first, and it not then the switch itself.

the high beams pull just a little bit more amperage through the headlight switch and its tripping the breaker in the switch, eventually it will do it on low beam too. its not the dimmer switch.

I've just been through this flashing headlight problem

yea when my high beams go out they stay out because the dimmer switch is stuck in the down position, i pry with my shoe on the side of it and it pops back up and the lights come back on.

The headlight switch has a built in circuit breaker
guys! It goes bad and your lights will start blinking
off and on. The dimmer is a problem too. It's on
the floor in the worst place. Do um both. Ck. the
plugs for burnt looking connections too.
