What is a sport custom?

The truck came with beautiful badges on the sides of the bed, but I have no idea what Sport Custom means. Is this just another term to make my truck sound like it's something special when in reality all 1970 Bumps were sport customs?

The Sport Custom replaced the Custom Cab in 1970. A Sport Custom is basically a fancy version of the base model Ford truck called the Custom.

A Sport Custom would have had all the belt line trim, the rear tail panel & a few other options not avaliable on the base model Custom trucks depending on how your truck was equipped.
