My F350 at work

Post by abe »

Here are pics of my 1970 F350 at work. I mow the grass at the Piper family plot at a local cemetery. Bill Piper, Sr was the founder of Piper Aircraft, famous for the yellow J3 Piper Cub. Bill Jr.'s widow wanted the plot fixed up as last week was the annual Fly In for Piper planes of all makes ad a lot of Piper fans come to his mausoleum. They come to take pictures of it sort of like a pilgrimage.

So I hauled (and shoveled) 3 1/3 yards of mulch to beautify the area. I paused to take these first two pics when I was half done. Image

this is a pic of the finished product...

Tomorrow a neighbor wants 2 yards of mulch, but all I have to do is dump it in his driveway! To keep the wife happy, the old truck has to earn its keep!

Good job Abe: I could use a couple yards of mulch if you are willing to transport it south.

I was hoping to find a 53 to 56 flatbed dump that was not a project... something ready to roll.... Couldn't find one near me so I bought this 70 last September near Pittsburgh about 160 miles from me. I am happy with it and putting it to work...
