looking at buying three bumps! Worth the trouble?

Post by straight-shot »

I bought a nice 1970 f100 to that needs a few things and was looking at a 2wd roller for some misc parts. Turns out the guy has three bumps he wants to sell!

1-f100 2wd body frame and running gear. No interior, No engine or tranny etc. basically a shell.
1-f250 2wd same condition as f100
1-f250 highboy complete but hasn't ran in about 10 years
Extra parts include extra doors, tailgates, fenders, sets of chrome trim, Grilles etc that he has picked up over the years to rebuild his highboy. He just never got to it and wants to sell everything or nothing.
Some parts are nice some will go to the scrap yard and some will be sold for parts.
Anyone have a ballpark price of what they might be worth?
Also would there be any interest here in any of the extra parts?

I'm just trying to see if it would be a good deal or if I'm buying scrap iron.
I know it's hard without pics. I'm just looking for some guidance and a ballpark value.
Thanks!

Your basically looking to buy one f250 4x4 that needs restoration and your having to take two extra trucks with it. your saving the guy towing charges. This shouldnt be a expensive deal. hard to tell. depends on your motivation. Depends on condition of parts and what part of the country your in. How much do you think its worth? its really only worth what somebody is willing to pay for it.

He's wanting $2500 but is flexible. I think I could build my f100 and the f250 with all of the parts included then scrap or part out the rest.
Does that sound reasonable?

do you have a car trailer? how far do you need to move these trucks? just stuff to factor in. id be happier with throwing 1500 out there and seeing where the common ground is.

$2500 for a decent restorable hiboy is a deal around here. Your IP address is from SD so I don't know what the value would be there.
