I am tearing into my truch interior this weekend and I take off the "newer" dash cover to find how bad the dash really was. It was HORRIBLE!! So I tore it all off and voila!! I think the dash has some really awesom curves and I am thinking about cleaning/painting maybe customizing a bit and leaving it w/o the dash cover.
Anyone else left it off... customized.... got pictures....thoughts....tips??

Re: 68 f100 dash curves!!
I've always liked the idea of no having a dash pad too. Some trucks didn't have them from the factory I think and If mine was not in good shape I'd probably remove it too. It looks great to me without them. I only have one crack on it so I'm far from needing to take it off and I also have this neat green felt dash pad I found behind my seat that keeps the sun off of it. If your wanting a custom truck in the end the dash would leave a good place for some designs or lettering if you wanted to add that. It also looks good painted factory color of the truck.
Not sure if this is the link your looking for Tbone, but anyway https://fordification.com/forum/viewtop ... d315dd0e39

I remember seeing one from somebody on here or that other Ford sight. He filled all the holes and painted it. Turned out really great looking. Maybe someone will post up the link. If I had the talent I would go for it!

Re: 68 f100 dash curves!!
Here is mine. Its getting a diesel so that is why there is so many gauges. I basically cut the face of the dash out and made it one big eyebrow. Still have some detailed finish work to do but it's about 90% complete.
