Buying a Truck or Mustang
Today I finially put my 2002 F 150 up for sale. I've enjoyed that truck a lot but now I'm looking for something else. I'm will be driving the bump in between selling and buying.Vehicles that I'm considering buying next are all Ford and as follows; F250( preferably diesel), another F150, or possibly a V8 Mustang. I'm not too picky with the trucks but they have to have low miles. The years of all vehicles are in the range of 2000-2006. Price range is under $10,00 but where I'm at costs arev usually higher. I know a lot about the Triton engines but I'm lost when it comes to the others. How reliable are Powerstroke diesels and what kind of life span do they have? Have you had any experience with the above mentioned vehicles?

Re: Buying a Truck or Mustang
The 6.0 PSD Is a lemon. From what I learned about them a lot of their problems come from all the emissions crap that kills them. my buddys boss has... er, had a 6.0 till the lifter let loose and sent needle bearing through the engine and into the oil pump. prior to that he had to replace one of the heads because it had cracks. on the other hand I have a buddy that's 6.0 runs fine, but that seems to be uncommon for a lot of people. the 6.4 seems better, my buddys uncle has an 08 6.4 and it runs fine and hauls ass. 7.3 is reliable as it gets but isn't as powerful as the others.
