Hi Guys,
I have a 1967 F-250. When I got it about a year ago, it had a set of full size (16") hubcaps on it, but the 4 original (I believe) 10"-ish dog-dish hubcaps were in the cab.
The dog-dish hubcaps are what I am most interested in hearing some background information on. These appear to be made to mount with a tab that is facing inward towards the hub. On the truck right now are 16" wheels that have the tabs on the outside, which lead me to believe that the truck originally had a split-rim 16.5" wheel that had the inner tabs, which went with these hubcaps. Am I correct in this thinking?
I have never seen a set of the inner tab hubcaps around. Are these rare and have some value? Or just obsolete?
Any information would be great to know!
