I'm trying to find out some info for a friend and am not having much luck. Someone has placed a military furnished marker at one of their family members grave. They would like to find out who it was so they can try to contact them.
I know I have seen copies of the application for people on ancestry.com before, and they have the applicants name on them.
So how would someone go about getting a copy of the application ?
Thanks for any help on this.

Re: An odd request
Not sure if it'll help or not but this refers to checking status of an application http://www.cem.va.gov/hmm/ If they tell you the status, they know who applied for the marker. Whether or not they'll tell you is in question. Also might try here http://m.military.com/benefits/burial-a ... rkers.html
