Gas tank relocation
I would like any info on relocating the cab tank to the rear. I have a 71 shortbed stepside(flareside), I have seen where a 67-70 Mustang tank is used, but will I have to come up through the wood floor to mount the filler neck/cap? That would be fine but I also was thinking of putting the filler on the rear driver fender(like the later dentside trucks). It looks like if I did that I couldn't use the Mustang tank because of the center filler neck opposed to the side type like the OE trucks had-if I went that route could I just use the later trucks gas tank & filler neck & be ok with that? Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated...
