What is the best option for shipping larger items like grilles, headers, etc.?
I have a couple of grilles and a couple of sets of headers and looked into shipping items like these and the shipping is many times more than the parts!
Then you see others selling these larger items and offering free or low cost shipping.
What are my options?
How do you ship bigger and heavier items?

To qualify for low cost shipping u have to have a business accout with the major shipper. Greyhound also ships larger items. 70-72 grills are nor bad priced to ship. Just got to watch ur box size. Anything larger than that is expensive to ship. Fenders hoods 67-69 grilles.

I've shipped headers, grilles and wheels via FedEx. It ends up being cheaper than the other guys.

UPS has a max box size. After that it becomes oversize. If you can stay in a standard size it will be far less expensive. Call and ask.
You always have LTL. That is Less Than a Truckload. It's been so long ago for me but they expect $x.xx/mile/palletspace. A pallet space is 4x4x8. It is a bit more involved with classes and so on. If you call one with weight and overall dimensions with origination zip and destination zip they will give you a quote.
