Those wrenches come in handy for a lot of stuff. If you can afford them, I would say buy the whole set. Trust me, you will find that they are usefull.

You CAN get them out with an open end wrench but it takes forever!
When it's time to put the seat back into Frankie I will definetly have a set of gear wrenches.
I would get the good set, myself.

I only buy name brand, gear wrench, or craftsman, and I always check ebay to see if I can find a deal. Do your homework first, find out what they cost new at Sears, and when looking on ebay don't forget to add in the shipping or your deal may not be all that good of a deal

I've seen stuff on there with a really low buy it now price, but outrageous shipping charges. D%mn B*st*rds trying to get over on someone and charge em an arm and a leg in shipping.

As always, just my :2cents:

If you are really strapped, just forget the ratchet wrenches. I've taken out and put in several with a 1/2" combination wrench and a 3/8" drive 1/2" socket. If you decide to buy the wrenches, however, my recommendation is to buy the best you can afford. Tools can last a lifetime. Let us know how you go.

Cheap tools suck to work with, get the best tools possible, :$$: It makes the job so much easier and less painful. broken sockets, wrenches, stript bolts....broken fingers, cuts and bashes never again. knock on wood.

I bought a set of metric and standard reversable gear wrenches and i love them. I bought them when I was mechanic. I love those things. I don't know how I ever worked without thme. If you can buy the whole set and save yourself time in the future when you can't get a ratchet in there.
