Well I've decided to go back in time and purchase an iconic eighties pony car. Back in the day when I was only 21 years old I bought a brand new 1984 1/2 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 It was a silver fast back with the GT decals etc. I was young at the time and ended up selling it. Fast forward to 2017 and here I am again buying a 1984 twentieth anniversary GT350 Ford Mustang except this time I'm 55 years old and a little more mature. I was able to talk the price down to 13k plus TTL. It only has 165HP but it's going to be fun driving it down the coastal A1A in Florida re-living my past youth. What do you all think of this car?

Yep, always thought they had the best interior designs. You can pull the door panels and tighten up the pouch cords so the flaps don't flop. It's pretty easy to do just be careful because the door panel is cardboard on those. If it were mine I'd swap out an earlier 3 flat spoke of later SVO 3 spoke wheel. The 2 spoke one does nothing for me and the others are period correct. I still have one of the old three spokes on the wall.
You'll also have an interesting time getting tires for those oddball sized wheels. TRS or something similar with a Metric diameter that they only made for a year or two before rejecting the idea.
Ah, I miss my four eye '83 Capri with porn star red interior.
Love it have always been a fan of the early foxes.
Just another Ford fool named Dan.

LMR Restorations sells the TRX wheels in 16x7 diameters that will accept standard size tires (at a good price)! When I take delivery of the car (after I return from Afghanistan) I will purchase these wheels, store the originals. So do you all think I should daily drive it or make it a weekend cruiser? Also do I modify or not? Your thoughts please?
Thank you very much crazyhorse. Do you all remember that blast in Kabul Afghanistan last week that was in the news? Well I was only three miles from that VBID suicide blast. Our building shook from the blast and the smoke mushroom cloud was huge! We lost a lot of brothers and sisters in that blast. Received a lot of the wounded at our hospital, crazy over here.
I bought a new Mustang Gt in 1986. It was red with grey interior, crank down windows and even radio delete. I loved that sweet little car.
Nice GT350, I remember when those were new.
