Door Speakers

Post by S67Ranger+ »

Does anyone know if door speakers were available as an option for 1967 Ford Pickups?

I don't think there were any OEM door speakers for our trucks.

It seems to be an option in '72.
I worked on a '72 that had 4X6 ? speakers in the lower door below the trim panel.
I believe they were either stock or a dealer option.

A pretty good thread with some options for speaker placement.

There is a picture of the 1971 & 72 optional door speaker at the bottom of the first page, it came with the AM/FM radio. Our trucks did not have a door speaker option until 1971 / 72. Click on this Fordification tech thread: http://www.fordification.com/tech/67-72ID_01.htm

Hope this helps!

The mustang part suppliers catalogs like scotts might be a good place to look for replacement speakers/grills as Ford raided the mustang parts bin for both the bucket seats and the speakers to use in the trucks.

Here is a thread from 2016 that talks about the speakers being made for 1969 / 70 Mustangs and Torino's. It states that they were being reproduced by Scott Drake company. Hope this helps! http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... ?f&t=84972
