Hi everybody,
Been lurking around here for awhile, and also working on my F100 when I have time. It's a 1967 F100, 2wd, 352 with 3 speed. It was my dad's truck when I was growing up, I grew up riding around in the passenger seat with my dad going for coffee, or dropping me off at school, or going to the hardware store, lots of memories. After that my brother bought it off my dad for his first truck in high school, He updated it with electronic ignition, replaced wires, plugs, clutch, etc. Also put long tubes and 2.5" dual exhaust with x pipe. I bought the truck off of him 3 years ago to keep it in the family and since have pulled the front clip, cab, engine and trans. I had the cab sandblasted and primed, which was discouraging when I could see just how much rust it had, but I started cutting metal and replacing pieces, I bought pans and cab mounts from DC, bought rockers, cab corners, supports, etc. but I'm still running into pieces that you cannot buy and I'm not sure if I can make them. So I set the cab aside for now, and decided to work on other areas. Started patching the stake holes in the bed, swapped in a 9" from a 82 F150, did the axle flip(still have to c notch). My plan for the truck is to get it back on the road as soon as possible(which is difficult with a young family, family is first). I am doing a axle flip in the rear, crown vic swap in the front, unsure on whether I will keep the 352 or LS swap it - TBD. It will get a 5 speed, likely a T5. I'm hoping for some help in the wheel and tire, and rear end gearing department. This is the first hot rod i've built and want to make good decisions so it will be fun to drive, good on the highway and still low cost. Any input here would be great, thanks!
Also I'm trying to get some pictures up here but am having a tough time getting them to upload...Standby!

Sounds like a great project. Hope you get some pics uploaded soon so we can see it. Don't get discouraged on the cab rust. You'll get there. Just keep chugging along.

Thanks for the pics - sounds like a great project!
Keep up the work on the sheet metal and take one step after another. I know that family thing - having 3 little children and overhauling a house do not let too much time for your projects...
