Blinker gremlin

Post by kathol233 »

I have a 1971 Ford F100 and my problem is that when I turn my left blinker on both my right and left blinker blinks on the front of the truck. Also when I have the left blinker on and it is blinking on the instrument panel and if I then turn on the headlights the blinker stops blinking and the light on the instrument panel just stays on. Turn the headlights off and it will start to blink again. I've double checked my steering column wiring and installed a new headlight switch.

Welcome to our site .

It sounds like a ground problem.
check and clean all the ground wires ,
maybe run a temporary jumper to the neg battery cable and see if that helps.
