Dimming headlights

Hi Guys and Gals, my 69 camper special has recently developed a bad habit. After ten or so seconds of turning the headlight on I hear a click and the lights dim and then go to normal, ten seconds or so later it repeats, goes on over and over. Happens in low and high beam operation. You folks know a cure? Thanks for the help

You most likely have a resistance problem causing the current breaker to trip. Feel for hot spots in the wiring between the headlight to the high low dimmer to the lamps. Most likely it's in the dimmer.

Sounds like something drawing current in your system or the Alternator clutch engaging and unengaging.

You may need a new battery soon or you may need a larger alternator. Hard to say without an Ammeter and Voltage gauge.
