Order parts for Ford Trucks

Post by bph »

I've read a ton of poor reviews about experiences purchasing from LMC Trucks. However, they seem to have the most thorough catalog of parts for vintage Ford Trucks. Are there any other parts suppliers that everybody here makes use of other than LMC trucks??

I really like using NPD (National Parts Depot): https://www.npdlink.com/1948-1979-ford-truck, they have good prices, great quality, and their shipping is very fast. I also like Dennis Carpenter: https://www.dennis-carpenter.com/truckhome, but their shipping is slower. There are several others that you can find on this vendor list from Fordification: http://www.fordification.com/links.htm.

Agree with the above. (DC and NPD)

Our own founder here is now in charge of the FORD arm of LMC, so he's probably improved the situation.

I have seen negative reviews of LMCs rubber parts but I havent had an issue. The only hose I have ordered from them was a filler hose for my 1970 f250 saddle tank, which I got from them as well. No issues with those or a few other parts I have got down the road. I hear they are the only ones that have rear parking brake cables for my 72 highboy, that connect correctly. Might be another order in my near future.

I’ve had success with LMC, NPD, MACs Auto parts, summit, jegs, autozone, o’reilly, rock auto.

LMC and MACs both have nice catalogs.

Because of some of the negative feedback on parts quality from LMC i typically try other sources first.

Hopefully, the quality of service will change if the person who is in charge of this shop is part of this community. There will always be room for improvement, and I am sure that they will work on providing a good service to their customers.

i have a NPD catelog. has pretty much everything i´d ever need for my truck. LMC truck is a good source 2 but not a wide variety of parts compared to NPD and not many mechanical parts on LMC

Agree about NPD. I've used them for years and I'm super satisfied. BTW, most of the rubber seals I've purchased from NPD were in stock and manufactured by DC.

"jzjames"and BOTP
I always forget about BOTP! :yt:

Agreed on LMC as 100% of everything i'd ordered over 20+ years from them was jackie chan junk, (sorry Keith forgive me)! :(
NPD rocks, (I ordered no less than 70% of BC#16 restoration from them) as they have multiple locations across the US that usually means yuou get your part within 2-3 business days!

I have no less then 40-50 bump parts sources bookmarked here on the desktop. We have so...many that will be a "one part only" resource where they become a valuable asset to our trucks longetivity on the road.

And we have about a dozen or so vendors here on the website who are very vbaluable resources, (Flash1 in North Carolina comes to mind right off the bat).

Here's a few i don't think were mentioned above, (and by all means always ask here before assuning there is no other source for a part-before just "settling" for jackie chan junk/trash).

I think BOTP is closed. Their site has been down for about 2 weeks.

Thanks basketcase, I've taken a look at these shops, and they look like they have everything I'll ever need in stock! I had only found, so far, LMC and cokertire, and I'm glad to have such a lot of other options on hand.
