Torque Wrench Question???

When you are going to tighten a bolt to a specific torque setting what is the correct start point i.e. should the bolt be finger tight before you start torqing?or what?Thanks

thats what I do. they won't register anything till you get a certain amount of resistance.

Start there and then I increase in increments of 10lb if there is a more then one bolt or nut. ie head bolts

And if you are using a 'click' type torque wrench, be sure to set it back to 0 when you are doen. You sould not store those wrenches with tension on the spring.
