The 70 crew's progress-modifications and cummins swap
Figured I'd start a threat for the crew as i went back through all th posts and only found a threat I started about the wiper upgrade. So here it is, or where I'll start the slow process of few additions to my current crew up until I have my other cab ready for a swap.
This week I had a day off because of high winds so I decided to take advantage by mounting a set of 2005 F150 seats in the crew. I have to say I belive this is the best addition yet, it make the truck feel totally different in just the ride alone! Pics are on here http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k51/Crewzin70/
and here are just a couple.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Seat looks pretty good. Are you going to use the matching rear seat?

I was going to do a 2 matching sets but now that I have these in hand and put them in there is not enough room in the cab for them.I'd need dimensions on the bench that matches the front set but I'd want one with the fold out center piece with cup holders. The angle the seats need to sit at and how much deeper the part you sit on is a little more than the original bench so it would really crap leg room in the rear and the rear seats wouldn't adjust or anything.... now if there was say... and super cab mounted on there it would be a bumpside Megacab That would work. I think I may find a midsize like a durango size bucket-console setup to have reupholstered the same as the Ford seats and that might work with dimensions.

re: The 70 crew's progress
What about the rear seat out of a late model supercab? That would probably give you the space and matching upholstery.

re: The 70 crew's progress
Not really sure what seat I want it'll be just based on what looks right and will fit my requirments of size and function oh and comfort. Good thing is on the construction site I'm on right now we have over 40 machines and thats alot of ppls trucks out there big and small so I can look in a bunch of them and get ideas along with what the junkyard has to offer. I know for sure the local pick a part has 3 supercabs with fold down bench seat in the rear. Not sure about that either becasue I was planning on a sub and amp behind the rear seat now that that tank is out of there. Gosh so many options and not enough daylight or $$.

re: The 70 crew's progress
Thanks for the kind words on the seats. And a big yeah it's great having 2 cup holders and a center storage for papers and pens and stuff. Also the center consel has a 12v plug for the rear set but I haven't hooked it up yet.
Progress report. This last weekend I had finished my temp fix on the front cab mounts, turned out pretty good concidering all that was there to weld to was rust and putty the PO covered the cab mounts with. I beat on them with a little offroading this week and all is good. their not a permenant thisng so their not the most beautiful
2nd on the report is I couldn't stand the 3 shades of gray primer and a blue hood so a buddy and I wet sanded the truck and threw on a layer of flat black rustoleum. This is also a temp thing till the other cab is ready, the only part of the body that will be swapped over is the hood.
