What's that tank out of? At first glance it appears to be a standard 2WD dentside aft-axle tank. What are your plans for that?

Pulled it out of a 70 something Suburban. Gonna replace in cab tank. It will go between frame rails with a little modification to cross member

whoops...guess I didn't read the picture description above.
Cool! So how wide is that, and how many gallons? Definitely be taking pictures when you go to install that. And you also realize that the stock GM sending unit won't work, right? I'm pretty sure that one's set up to read 0-90 Ohms, whereas our Fords are set to read 73-10 Ohms.

It is actually wider on inlet side(other end fits will have to trim about half inch.from middle to left side . Picked it up cause it was there needs to be cleaned and repaired and will probably engineer sending unit out of in cab tank into it.
it is for later install. I gotta get her running for transportation. I'm using my son's mustang while he is out on a job .

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Ok curiosity got the beter of me . Frame rail to frame rail the tank is 26"(side to side), Front to back on tank fill side 17"(left) and gradully angles to 16" on right side .
My opening between 2 rear most cross member is 27"x 15 1/2 with the one closest to the front flat with frame rail the rear is humped up and will allow tank flanges to meet frame the front cross member needs to be trimmed to allow left side clearance

I'm more interested in the lighted mirror install. I've been wanting to do that in my 68 cougar. It doesn't have a dome light so a lighted mirror would be cool.

I'm thinking just a fused constant hot wire and a ground to the body . In the picture i took it was hooked up to the batterie charger.
