Thanks everyone still waiting to drive it till Tues night. I had to order a high mount alt bracket and thats when it'll be here. So I'll keep my fingers crossed it works with my original belt setup.

Well despite what happend today with my irritated neighbor here http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... 1&start=30
I Got my L&L altenator high mount bracket setup. Looked great and went on no problems except they have it set up so the belt it uses is the one closest to the radiator and that is my A/C compressor and tensioner and idler. So now the sheave closest to the engine will not be used and the A/C and alt will be on the same belt when I find a big enough one.
Nothing ever goes just right but it does get done.

Now I decided to go ahead and mount a dual electric fan and shroud combo. Due to the fan still rubbing the shroud when the truck flexes at all. Wouldn't be a prob to move a little more but that just means more trimming on the shroud and basically ruining it. So I figure I'd be running an electric setup with the diesel conversion eventually so just get it out of the way now. I ordered this up today http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-164 ... ic_fan.htm
I was thinking it was a pretty good deal givin everywhere else wants 530 bucks for the same product on their sites. Now the plan is to wire in my 100amp Alt at the same time I put this fan setup in. Hopefully this will help a little with cooling my A/C at lights also.

100 amp? I would try and go w/ a little more amps if you could. Get a 3G w/ 130 amps. I got a PA performance alt w/ 200 amps. I'm running a taurus fan ($25) and will soon add AC. Keeps my 460 running cool here in Houston.

nice lookin mounts, and jusr so you know the 302's mounts are a piss off sitieation. The replacement ones arer milled slightly off.

I bought the alt about a yr ago and now It's just been sitting there so It's going in and see how it does. if not the wiring will be done and ready for the larger one next.

Here are my plans for the next 2 weeks. I have sent out a 78-79 4x4 PS box to Redneck Ram to have it ported for the hose fittings and be rebuilt, Then coming back with all the parts for the ram assist. So I wil be moding my existing saginaw pump to flow a little more. B4 that we will be taking off my 2wd box conversion and boxing the frame in up front on both sides and replacing the very front flimsy crossmember with this...
Some of that will be hacked off like the sides and the 2 tabs top and bottom.
At the bottom of that will be my leaf spring hangers and should give me 5-6in of lift from the stock locations, so I will be taking the skyjacker 4in leafs out of there and swapping them for my stock springs on the 77 4x4 crew and I should have close to the same lift if not the stockers could take an add a leaf. Reason for this is the 77 rides alot smoother with the stock springs and if I can have lift and that ride along with adding some quality shocks should be really nice. 2nd the 77 will have 6in of lift and all I need is to raise the rear of that to have lift on both crews for close to nothing.
Next I need opinions on this crossmember. My dad thinks I should face the tabs in the center of the crossmember in the 3rd pic down out and i was thinkin in for a smoother look but now have thought he may be on to something. If I mount them out and I put a large D ring on there or something I can hook my winch hook on there for driving and the cable will be centered between the tabs. if turned around it will be all against the metal face.
Last I have a 3 core radiator I just had redone and going to mount some larger mounting tabs where the shroud bolts to, to accomidate my flexalite dual electric fan setup.
So the crew will be down for a week or 2 I'm hoping with some nice improvments.

Well the crossmeber is a no go it is the wrong dimensions to work correctly without too much work. So that ia a dead story till I take care of a couple other things.

I was hoping for something along the lines of Pro's rigs front crossmember just not as much lift. http://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gallery ... 97&width=2
But decided it's too much work and i'll wait till it's not a leaf hanger anymore if i finally add radius arms and switch to coils up front. Then build a new crossmember with some attachment points for dragging things around.
