Texas/Oklahoma meet and greet......Time to start planning

Post by cobraF100 »

Time to start planning for the
2nd Annual Texas/Oklahoma meet and greet

This is going to be held here at Fort Hood at my Place.I'll be Renting out the Community Center with Play Ground and Pavilion.

I'd like to have everyone bring there Trucks to have a "Show What You Got" and Bring some Parts that You think other's may need/want for a Little Swap Meet.

Also plan to go out to the local Track (Drag Strip) for a "Grudge Match Race"
**** No,You do NOT have to Run Your Truck but there will be a few of us that will. ****

Everyone that plans to come Please Email me so i can get a list together.

Other's from other State's are welcome to come.

Damn it! I thought it was Fort Worth.

Im located in Gainesville TX, near the Texas/Oklahoma border on I-35 just a few minutes from the Winstar Casino and just north of the Dallas/Fort Woth area and west of Sherman Tx.

I wish I could be there to meet with you guys sure would like to have the two toner 67 there for the Swap meet. I guess thats just one less member showing up.

Fort Hood is near I-35 isnt it?

Any Fordification Members out there that live in North Central Texas or Southern Oklahoma??????? D/FW area? :?

If I'm counting on my fingers right I should have 4 personal days after 6 mnths .My hire date was May 2nd so by Nov. 1 I should have 4 days ...Hmm but if it's on the week end I might not have to use any, but I need to know so I can put in for them if I have to take off during the week in the week .

Chris keep me posted, give me a shout <Texsan for call my cell > lol

Give me a date, and count me in. My inlaws live in Copperas Cove, so I'll kill two birds with one stone.

Hey Chris, I would be interested in coming down for the meet and greet. Even if it is to just meet all the gang and see what is in the swap meet. Give me a shout when you have an idea of the dates.

Thanks,

Bobby

It just dawned on me that I forgot to mention to everyone (except Chris) that more than likely I'll be able to attend this one. Our new baby is due October 7th, and after giving Mary a month to recuperate, we're planning on heading to the Houston area for a week to visit my mom and sister there for a week or so, probably around the first couple weeks of November...but no exact dates have been set yet.

So let's try to get a good turn-out for this one...I'd love to meet as many of you as possible! :D

Keith, gonna have the 67 ready to drive down? Come on guys, get to work on those trucks, I don't want to be the only guy on the 67-72 forum actually driving one. Just kidding you Keith, but we haven't seen a progress report in a while now.
FWIW, as of today my 69 is my only vehicle, not counting the hotrod whish is actuall more of a pile of parts.

 I WISH! Nah, it's gonna take a wee bit longer than 3-1/2 months to finish puttin' mine back together.....this trip will be to admire all the other trucks that show up, and maybe get a few ideas for mine. (As for the progress reports, yeah, it's been a little slow lately. But I'll be back in the shop on Saturday to do the cab firewall and floorpans.)
