LOL! Forgot there was an audience
Yeah, the truck is on hold right now pending my hand healing more. Still have incapacitating rod stuck in one finger and the one that got crushed won't bend much. I'll have months of therapy to go before it'll be close to swinging a wrench again. Even still, as soon as the rod is out of the middle finger and it starts to bend enough, you know I'll be back in the gargage!

re: '70 F250 CS Update
I'm *finally* getting the hand to work well enough that its time to start again.
Its been so long! So many things have had to be done around the house and such I'll post updates as things start to happen.
1st up is exhaust headers - prolly will get a set of Sanderson.

Re: '70 F250 CS Update
Hi all! I know its been ages. Have reasonable use of right hand now - the crushed finger isn't going to fully recover without another surgery to remove scar tissue but not planning on having ANY more surgery for awhile - it will just remain like it is with limited movement. They tell me there's no 'statute of limitations' for the next round of scalpel work.
As for the truck...! The Sanderson headers are gorgeous and fit perfectly - dumps straight downwards and came with 45 deg adapters. Truly, they meant it when they said 'block huggers'. Have the cab mounted now and am working on interior sanding & prep for paint.

Glad to hear you've got both paws working again. Truck sounds like it's coming along.

Re: '70 F250 CS Update
Long time!!!! Very little has happened since my last post - although my wife wants the garage back after 2 years I did proceed with the 2nd surgery (scar tissue removal) late last year - what a mistake that was. Yeah, it was doing great for the 1st week, but one spot didn't heal up so quickly and ended up having a lovely hospital stay due to a staph infection... a major setback that added months to the recovery and created other scar tissue. All told, that bad finger is only slightly more useful than before the operation (insurance would only pay up for incidents that year) So what have I been doing? Too many other things besides the truck! The house needed a bunch of work done so that has taken priority. (like my excuses?)
Of note, I sold my '72 to a man in need of wheels - he couldn't make payments so I repo'd it and gave it to a good friend (who's been helping with the 70). We put new heads on it, rebuilt the carb, put on those nasty looking headers you can see in pics, plus glasspacks - she runs/sounds like a champ now and my buddy absolutely *loves* driving Beater
So FINALLY, I'm getting back onto the project. I'll get some pics up soon as there's any significant progress.
Looks like a bunch of folk are rocking along on their projects - what a great forum!
