My truck is a woman because about once a month she throws fits. You can talk to her nice she runs good but if you give her a little abuse she acts up. My 82 is a man because you can give him a lot of h*ll and he keep a going.

Frodo is definitely a male. Not afraid to work hard, get dirty, and then get hosed down with cold water. And happily do it all over again the next day. Reminds me of being in the Army.

One other difference between men and women, according to Red Green: When a woman's mind goes blank, her first reaction is to snap out of it. When a mans mind goes blank, his first reaction is "Okay, yeah! THEEERE we go! I'm in the zone, now!"
"If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy."
Red Green

If you're going to live like there's no hell...............
you'd better be right.

Best way to tell is to look under the rear bumper... if you see trucknuts, it's a male. :D

I tend to think of my old truck as female... just because if I'm going to ride around on something, it's gonna be opposite of me. Plus, my truck has no shifter. lol

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

I'm not sure, seems male to me, little rough around the edges and doesn't clean up worth a darn...

Katherine variously refers to it as "smurf truck" (Must be papa smurf) or "eye sore"...neather of which seems particularly feminine...

OMG! You guys are hilarious! I just found this topic and I've been dying of laughter!

But to add my own two cents.

Mine's a chick. Her name is Jezabel, personal reasons as to why. But shes a girl...trust me...and she'll kick all the boy trucks asses... :D

My 71 F100 has always been a woman. I just can't see having a 39 year love affair with a male truck. lol
I have never even told my wife of 37 years the name of my truck so I won't tell ya'll. lol

Good afternoon!

It's fascinating that there seems to be an approximate 50/50 ratio of male and female Bumpsides (so far)!

Since last Summer many new folks have joined, so perhaps others would care to vote?

this thread is good for a laugh. my truck seems pissy when I can't read her mind, hence the feeling it is female.
when she is happy, My life is good. when she isn't, I HAVE a headache while she COMPLAINS OF HAVING ONE... (NO, WAIT, THAT IS THE OTHER FEMALE...)
I am an outspoken person. I will not be quiet to make you happy.
