Re: Filming the Bullitt car chase
91Bear,
I'd pretty much forgotten the movie, cool chase for sure with the Stang"!
Now I'm gonna have to find the DVD to see the rest of the movie.

Re: Filming the Bullitt car chase
That was a cool chase but I still think the original Gone in sixty seconds was better. They say they used the original car through out the whole movie. That car was beat all to pieces and still running at the end.
Cheap movie with bad acting but good chase scenes.

Re: Filming the Bullitt car chase
I have one of those Mustangs, except mine is a 67, 4 speed (and the Bullitt car was a 68 Automatic). Mine was originally a 68, S code, 4 speed Fastback, but before I got it, it had been quater-paneled on the left side. It always bugged me because the car was lower in the rear on the driver side by 1 inch. When my dad's stolen 67 GTA Fastback was recovered, COMPLETELY stripped (8 months after it was stolen), I put all of my 68 stuff onto the virgin, never hit, 67 shell. Nobody has ever commented on the fact that I have an operating front fender side marker light (68 fender and loom required) on a car that does not have the side reflector marker on the rear quarter panels (68 only). 7RO2S car with 68 fenders and interior I had it in high school and spent two weeks in jail and lost my license for 7 years because of that car. It was well worth it.
