Hilti used to be a really good name, do they make regular cordless drills?
For what it is worth, I have a rather old dewalt 14.4 and it has been a good one.

I use the Craftsman 19.2 for heavy and the 14.4, (14 something) for general use. Both are about 7 years old, no problems yet. I use them a lot. When they go, Ive got my $$$ worth.
There are brands that will last longer, but cost more. Depends on what ya want.

Sorry for buttin in without a proper intro but I have to give my 2 cents worth.
Nobody has said anything about Ridgid tools here. 18 and 24 volt and tough as nails.
Heard that they bought out millwalkee????? My son got me into them a few years back and haven't looked back since.
Tough as a Bump in my eyes.

I install with battery drills all day long. I have used Dewalt for the last 15 years, would not use anything else. I drill metal, wood, 3/4" holes in roof of trucks. My 12 volt Dewalt is the drill to have. It is light enough to use all day, under dashes, etc. plus has the power to cut 3/4" holes.

Didn't even think of Hilti. Never used their drills but there hammer-drills are top notch.
