No one is allowed on the property to check them out. So ya just sit and fish a few yards away. I'm sure way back the bodys where placed there to help buck up the bank. The name of the fishing hole of course is, "The Car Bodys."

I can only imagine besides all the old earth moving equipment and semi trucks and trailers left in the mines of S.E Ks, NE OK, and SW Mo, to help keep them from collapsing just how many old cars are down there piled up to also help keep the tunnels up?

Drop me a line when you plan on going down there. We could meet and greet. I'm about an hour from there. Been wanting to go for a long time just never got around to it.

Gremlins sure an odd ugly car, but those V-8s had the getty-up-go.

About 5 years ago I stopped and asked an elder lady I know if I could take some pictures of her old mustang to put on this website. The car had been sitting since the old man passed away 11years before. Everyone knew about it and many had tried to buy it, but she wouldn't sell it. So everyone quit asking about it thinking it would sit there and rot to the ground. Here's how it sat for those 11 years.

Image

Long story short, the next day I wrote her a check and drove it 3 blocks to my house :D :D
Here's how it looked when I got it home and blew the dust off of it.
