look what literature i found swing lock instructions

Post by fordman »

i havent seen these before. i found this in the 70 explorer in the junkyard the other day. looks like a mouse has eaten part of it. but it is a flexible plastic card. it almost looks like a sticker to put on the back of the glove box door or something. but it says to keep in the glove box for future reference. kind of cool huh? i also found part of a warranty. and the warranty card without the vin plate attached to it. too bad the owner wrote his name on it. the mouse sure though the warranty info was good too.

I think it might be a option for swing away mirrors back then. The part with the 3 holes in it kinda looks like a mirror bracket.

Yep, looking at the pic larger it describes the mirror. That is a really cool find.

I remember the plastic warranty card in my glove box stuck behind a clip of sorts. I sure wish I was more attentive to stuff like that back when my dad gave me my 71 at the age of 15. I lost all of the paper work he left in the dash.
I remember seeing the build sheet folded up in the glove box as well.
