Since I apprenticed as a truck letterer back east, we had some customers that were really REALLY into diesel truck racing. I remember watching full size dump trucks (working trucks) turn 14 second quarters, back when it was still the quarter mile. They would take off and you would hear the dump gate slam back against the box... It was crazy!

They are designed to flex like that. I've seen them twist up that hard with a stock 425 Cat in them and by the smoke coming out of those chimneys those trucks are anything but stock. Don't know that I'd want to be that close to the track. Driveshafts have been known to barberpole and launch under that kind of abuse. :doh:
