Funny thing is Missouri just changed tags in 2008/2009 and some of the generic ones are pretty funny like one i saw was 1CU P46 Imagine the one an I. A Friend had a 77 Buick Regal and his was F77 77F 77 was on it twice just ignore the F's.
But if you come up with it on a vanity and it's not on a generic tag, especialy if it is funny the nix it.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

I was blessed to have ran this one in Florida for over 18 years. Sadly enough, I surrendered it a few weeks ago in favor of my TN antique plates. I do still have two of them for display, and one more is proudly displayed on the wall of a sports bar in Naples, Florida:

I just inquired at the dmv about the vintage plates. Apparently it's similar to tag it as a historic vehicle. You can use the old tags, but you are limited on mileage and have to send in a log every year explaining the miles you have put on. I would love to have the old plates, but I drive mine everyday, so 1000 miles a year wouldn't work out. Everyone has some great ideas, though!

These arent suggestions for you since they dont really apply to what you want, but just putting some pics up to share what I am running and will be running...
Currently on the truck :
What will be on the truck (had it made) once my other bumper is on (and when new registration sticker comes):
The blue and yellow is metal and is an exact replica, so no one will know the difference and it reads the same.

you don't have to send in anything. you are supposed to log miles but no one does. i am running a "yom" year of manufacture tag on my 61 and i ran one on my 68. there are mileage and useage requirements, you don't have to send anything to the state. i never ran or run a log, but i don't really drive mine everyday either. i still say you can get away with it if you don't over do it.
