How many are like me...no mechanical experience?

Post by JWW »

Just curious of how many of you all are like me. If I was not for this site and all the helpful people on here I would be lost.

Sure, I know how to change oil, plugs, various things, but some of the complex things I am lost.

Bottom line, how many of you are lucky to have a one car garage and a few tools to work with? Luckily I have a socket set and a hammer.

By the way, this is a compliment to all the people on here who help guys like me.

I have a bit of mechanical experience and knowledge, shadetree type. I am still lost all the time looking for advice on the forum. Its nice to have a place like this to come to. It is sometimes easy to forget how much time, money, and sanity this place can save you.

When I was growing up in a small town, we had an older mechanic we could go to for free advice and even borrow tools. And if you wanted him to work on it, he was happy to help with that too. I just cant seem to find that these days
