What are you thankful for, what do you do for Thanksgiving
Hello Bump Owners,
Here is another question for you all.
What are you thankful for and what do you do special for Thanksgiving?
I am thankful for being blessed to have the parents I have and to live in this great country. The USA, where i am free to worship my savior Jesus Christ without fear. A country where I can pursue my interests and have a freedom that so many in this world don't even know what it means.
We will be going over to my wife's family for dinner on thanksgiving. Unfortunately none of my children will be able to be there this year. When I was a single father my daughters would prepare a feast for my youngest son, my parents, and myself. They would bake apple and pumpkin pies days ahead, the aroma filling the house. Then on Turkey day they would cook a awesome turkey, with homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy. Man, makes me hungry just thinking of it.
I will be headed back home Friday after as my oldest son's better half is expecting their third child Wednesday or Thursday. They will be inducing labor on Wednesday. I'll also get to see my parents, youngest son (he's 22, so if I can keep up with him) and oldest daughter (who will be visiting with her husband and expecting their first in April) with plans on stopping to see my youngest daughter on the way home.
I wish all of you and your families the Happiest of Thanksgivings and may God bless you all with His Grace and Peace!
Ed

Re: What are you thankful for, what do you do for Thanksgiving
Ed,
I'm thankful for so...many things these days as about two years ago it seemed like I'd "hit bottom".
Just to be six feet above ground-and to walk everyday is now a blessing to me!
Folks, all you have to do is to ride around a little (I drive most of the day as a mobile technician) to see exactly how lucky and fortunate we all are. I had a coupon for a free hamburger, (my favorite-Krystal) that I effortlessly handed to a homeless guy a few days ago.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

This is my 1st since Vicki passed. So I am thankful to be able to buy and give turkeys, ect. to those less fortunate than I. We used to do this together, now I will continue in her honor
Be happy, and have a great Thanksgiving.

Re: What are you thankful for, what do you do for Thanksgiving
We plan on taking it easy this Thanksgiving, and much of it is due to what I am thankful for.
I married my special lady on Saturday the 19th, and was surrounded by family and friends who made the event so special for us both.
My Father, going through treatment for lung cancer, was able to attend the event, and it looks as if his treatments are going well.
I have freedoms and securities that no other nation on Earth has because of our Constitution, and due to people in the past (like myself) and during current times who believe in it so strongly that they are willing to defend it by any and all means.
Too much we get wound up in the hysterics of the modwern world, when what we need to be focusing on is our health and family.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Re: What are you thankful for, what do you do for Thanksgiving
I'm thankful for the blessings God has bestowed on me and for the trials and tribulations he's let me go through to make me appreciate those blessings. I'm thankful for my grandchildren who have reminded me how to "play" and see the "wonder" in this world He has given us. I wish all a Happy Thanksgiving and the blessings of God upon you all.
I'll be going to my wife's family's house for dinner and then having all of our kids and grandkids, and in-laws to our house for supper. I'll be spending a lot of time in my basement....

I don't know why he bothers with one such as I, but I am glad he does!
I am thankful for a wonderful wife and two great kids.
I am thankful for a home to live in, and a job to work at.
I am thankful for those who wear the uniform of our country, and sacrifice so that we can live in peace and safety.
I am thankful for all of you, my friends at Fordification.
May you all have a happy and blessed thanksgiving!
We will be going up to Omaha today to see my brother-in-law and his family, then on Saturday we will be going down to Fairbury to see my sister and the rest of my family. My uncle Dan (my dad's youngest brother) will be there along with his son Andy, whom I haven't seen in years. Gonna be a good day!
